In October of 2008 Mirus IT decided to take on a harder challenge and the focus was to try and bypass security systems of another IT company, who should be better protected than an IT company?

The team at Mirus managed to gain access but did not realise their actions were illegal, as a result a police investigation began and Paul Tomlinson our Managing Director admitted to attempting to gain access to the systems. At the time of conducting our testing we were not aware that the attempt to gain access would be deemed as illegal however now knowing that all future testing is completed in a lab environment or with the express permission of the test subject.
